I will, for now, start with the Postscript, for it is a detailed summary which includes relevant observations and findings made by Dr Lapp both in relation to the fallout afflicted Japanese fishermen and the nature of the weapon which assaulted them, H bomb fallout on international waters. These technical details are relevant to veterans of H bomb testing everywhere, including those survivors and widows fighting the British government for justice resultant from the UK H bomb tests on Christmas Island. The nature of the fallout of British bombs, which had large natural uranium tampers, would be similar to the US fallout which afflicted so many Islanders and Japanese fishermen in the decade of the 1950s.
Later on, as more of the book is scanned and the British court cases wind down in 2014, I shall reorder the scans. Meanwhile it is up to the Crown to start behaving in a Regal manner in regard to the truth of the matter. I think the matter of Uranium 237, 6.75 day half life and intense beta emitter that it is, retains the importance today that Lapp gave it in 1957, when he wrote his book. That the more 250 other substances of concern.
It should also be noted that Lapp cites findings in regard to the spread ocean radioactivity from human activity which directly, at first sight, contradicts pronouncements made by the Woods Hole Institute in 2013. The Japanese ocean and fish research cited by Lapp stands. imo.
The denials, feigned disbelief, accusations (including that of Japanese spying!!!), cruelty, denial of crucial information, stinginess, racism, ignorance, false claims of safety and general baseness of nuclear authorities so clearly seen in the historical record (in many sources) which transmit the reality of 1954, still, depressingly but unsurprisingly, rings true today. Indeed 1954 is a mirror for 2013.
